Holocaust Education

While pursuing my Bachelors degree, I worked at two Task Force centers: the Center for Holocaust and Human Rights Education at FAU’s College of Education and the Florida Holocaust Museum (St. Petersburg, FL).  I also attended the Zoryan Institute Genocide and Human Rights University Program in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, an intense two-week genocide studies program.  As a high school student, I participated on the March of the Living (participants spend one week visiting concentration camps in Poland before spending the following week in Israel).  This experience inspired me to pursue a Holocaust studies educational background.

At the Holocaust Task Force centers, I computerized, classified, and cataloged resources and guided teachers to select suitable materials for their classes.  While working at Broward County Library, I designed and presented a poster session on Holocaust education at the Florida Library Association 2008 annual conference.  I created a web page to accompany the poster session.  I also maintained the Holocaust collection and various Holocaust bibliographies for state mandated education requirements.
